Marty has been active in the commercial real estate
industry since 1985,. He joined InterState Commercial
Real Estate as a managing partner in September
of 2004, to help build and manage the company’s real
estate development portfolio. In addition to site selection,
Marty’s focus is on contract negotiations, site
feasibility studies, managing the entitlement process’
and leasing.
Prior to joining InterState, Marty served as Senior Vice
President of Gershman Brown & Associates in Indianapolis,
IN. While at Gershman Brown, Marty managed the
development of more than 50 CVS/pharmacies in the
Chicago and Dallas markets.
From 1989 through 2000, Marty was Senior Vice President
of Klaff Realty, LP in Chicago. At Klaff, Marty was responsible
for the leasing, marketing and development of the
company’s retail and industrial portfolio. The company’s
properties were located across the country from Southern
California to upstate New York and totaled more than
8,000,000 square feet. Marty was also responsible for
the repositioning and redevelopment of over 50 former
Kmart, Montgomery Ward and Levitz Furniture stores.
Marty began his real estate career in Chicago at the Ross
Group where he was a commercial broker representing
both tenants and landlords in office and retail lease negotiations.
Marty received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from
the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1985, is a licensed
Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Illinois and a member
of the International Council of Shopping Centers. |
